Georgia elections deserve to represent the will of the people.
But from what we read and hear, not all were allowed to cast their vote, some were even kept away with force, and some of the officials of the opposition party were even beaten.
I have high respect for Salome Zurabishvili, President of Georgia, not to acknowledge the outcome of the elections as published by the election committee.
“As the last independent institution, I cannot recognize these elections – it would legitimize Russia’s takeover of Georgia. Our ancestors endured too much for us to surrender our European future.…”
PS: In 2008 Russia invaded Georgia. 20% of the country is still under Russian occupation.
