There was a time when you had to go to Austria or Switzerland to do some good downhill skiing. These days, you can go to several countries. When Austrians learned about climate change, they traveled around the world to find high mountains where they could continue their favorite sport.
They found new places in Kazakhstan as well as in the Caucasian mountains, in Georgia as well as in Azerbaijan. Great places, not yet discovered by many.
High rising mountains of 3000 meters and more, wide slopes and new lifts are waiting for tourists. Some hotels are already there, some are being built. In a few years, these places could replace those that do not have enough snow for skiing in the Alps.
