Nakhtevan

Caucasia is an area of numerous languages, cultures, peoples. Armenia, Azeraijan and Georgia are states, but there is no clear cut between ethnicities. And when it comes to Nakhtevan, the situation is even more complicated: That piece ot land is Azerbaijan, but it is surrounded by Armenia. Nahktevan is an enclave, lively and full of ancient cultures.

Thick walls of a fortress in Ordubad, Nahtevan, are a proof that this place has seen many times of unrest and fighting. There is peace today, but it seems there could be better solutions for peaceful neighborhood than closed borders.
