The US will show more presence in Europe. This is a big step, a u-turn from politics of the past decades. It will help to lower the fears of countries neighboring Russia. But will it help to lower risks? Willl it help to ban another Russian “adventure” as in Ukraine? It may lower some outside risk.
What about risks from inside? All countries bordering to Russia, and several European countries, have large Russian speaking communities. In some Baltic states, they make up for half of the population. They rely on Russian media, they get all propaganda and even believe in it! What is really needed is good media for the broad Russian speaking population in Europe and in Russia as well!
